Welcome to the official web site of Oak Park Youth Baseball & Softball.
Play ball! Baseball or softball, our goal is to establish quality athletic, recreational and competitive programs with an emphasis on educating participants in the fundamentals of the game while promoting the values of sportsmanship and fair play. Through Oak Park Youth Baseball Softball, players and fans enjoy an atmosphere of fun and fellowship.
Since 2013 OPYBS players and coaches have been outfitted with jerseys and caps supplied by the Chicago White Sox; coaches and players have also received instruction from the Sox organization.

Enter your softball player in the OPRFHS "Be a Huskie" raffle
Give your OPYBS player the chance to be an OPRF softball Huskie for the afternoon! On Wednesday, April 24th at the 4:45pm varsity game at the new West Ridgeland softball field, 17 lucky OPYBS softball players will get to join the Huskie varsity softball team on the field before the game! Plus, each OPYBS athlete will get a gift from the OPRF softball team and be announced while taking the field. Two OPYBS players will get to be bat girls in the dugout during the game! If your player wants a chance to be part of the fun, e-mail questions@opybs.org with their name and league by Sunday, April 14th. We'll reach out to the winners by Wednesday, April 17th to confirm if winners can attend.

Enter your baseball player in the OPRF "Be a Huskie" Raffle
Give your OPYBS player the chance to be an OPRF baseball Huskie for the afternoon! On Tuesday, April 23rd at the 5pm varsity home game, nine lucky OPYBS baseball players will get to join the Huskie starting lineup on the field and have their names announced with the players' names! Plus, each OPYBS athlete will get a ball signed by an OPRF player before the kids run on the field. Two other OPYBS players will get to be bat boys in the dugout during the game! If your player wants a chance to be part of the fun, e-mail questions@opybs.org with their name and league by Sunday, April 14th. We'll reach out to the winners by Wednesday, April 17th to confirm if winners can attend.

PONY Evaluations April 7th and 14th
We are excited to kick off the 2024 OPRF Pony Baseball season soon. Your player has been assigned to our mandatory house league evaluations this Sunday April 7th, detailed as follows:
Arrival Time:
7th Graders - Arrive by 1:30 (Check in starts at 1:15)
8th Graders - Arrive by 3:00 (Check in starts at 2:45)
Location: OPRF High School Fieldhouse, 201 Scoville Avenue, Oak Park, IL (“South” entrance)
Attire: Athletic pants, t-shirt, and gym shoes (no cleats allowed)
Other Equipment: Fielding Glove, Bat, Helmet, and Water Bottle (please label everything); Catcher's Gear if relevant.

Crossbar - New App This Season
New this season, OPYBS is using Crossbar instead of TeamSnap. If you haven't downloaded the Crossbar app to your mobile device, do that now! Rosters are in Crossbar. To sync the practice and game calendar, go to "Family Calendar" and click the cloud in the top right corner. You can also add family members under each participant. Use Crossbar to RSVP so coaches can plan accordingly. Please be patient as the league and coaches navigate this new app.
